We are all well versed in different aspects of the industry/backgrounds, so if you need any advice on personal or professional growth, someone is always there to guide you and make you feel welcomed.

What makes you unique in your profession? What makes me unique in this industry is that I am proud to be a “Chief Cook and Bottle washer”. No task is too small or too big. I enjoy helping out wherever I can whether that be out in the field or in the office.

Do you have a personal motto you live by? “Good things come to those that work”

Who is someone you admire? I really admire Tara the Animal Sanctuary Founder. She is one of the most selfless persons I know. She works a full-time job, has her own family to take care of, and still manages to save, care, fundraise, and advocate for all of the animals at the sanctuary. She shows me that not every day is perfect or easy but the key thing is to keep going, I try to incorporate this into my everyday life.

What makes you unique in your profession? I believe what makes me unique is my ability to see the industry from both perspectives — in the field and in the office. While these roles are very different, they share many similarities, and few people truly understand the challenges and rewards of experiencing both sides.

Do you have a personal motto you live by? One motto that has stayed with me since childhood is: “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.” This principle guides everything I do. Whether I’m doing something for the first time or the hundredth, I approach it with full effort and commitment. In both my personal and professional life, I believe in giving 100% and approaching every task with intent and dedication.

Who is someone you admire? Someone I deeply admire is Robert Lira. He has been both a role model and an incredible mentor, demonstrating the importance of building and maintaining a strong, values-driven culture at Lira. I feel fortunate to have learned from him throughout my life, and many of his qualities — humility, generosity, integrity — have shaped who I am today. Beyond being an exceptional leader, he is also an inspiring father, husband, and role model. I feel truly honored to know him and to be part of the culture he has created.

What do you like most about Lira Electric? What I like most about Lira Electric is the opportunity to constantly learn. Unlike many construction-focused companies that concentrate only on installation, Lira handles everything — installation, maintenance, demolition, remodels — essentially anything the customer requires. 

How many years have you been in your industry? I’ve been in the electrical construction field for 19 years.

What makes you unique in your profession? What makes me unique is that I view our crews as a team and value everyone’s input on the best way to complete a job, ensuring it’s done efficiently, professionally, and to the customer’s satisfaction.

Who is someone you admire, and why? My parents were incredible role models for me growing up, and my husband that has always been my greatest supporter.

What makes you unique in your profession? What sets me apart in the construction trade is my broad perspective. Over the years, I’ve worked as a business owner, business manager, project manager, superintendent, estimator, teacher, field foreman, general foreman, journeyman, and even started as an apprentice electrician.

Do you have a personal motto you live by? I choose to see the best in every situation.

Who is someone you admire? I admired my mother who could always find room for one more at the table.

What do you like most about Lira Electric? Honestly, what drew me to Lira was the integrity and honesty I saw in the team that interviewed me. That’s very rare these days, and if you find it, hold on to it.

How many years have you been in your industry? Almost 50 years

What makes you unique in your profession? Experience. I’ve been in this industry for a long time and have experience across nearly every trade. I settled into project management and estimating because it aligns best with my skill set, but the true asset in this industry is the subcontractors. I value the relationships I’ve built over the years, many of which have endured even as employment changed. Trust, honesty, dedication, and friendship are invaluable.

Who is someone you admire? All those who came before us. They did the hard things, so we don’t have to. Hard work, honesty, integrity, compassion and giving hearts that never stop doing what is right, no matter the cost. That is what is impressive and admirable to me.
